A State Representative is one of 105 members of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which writes state laws, enacts the state budget, and oversees state agencies. District 62 covers part of East Baton Rouge Parish and all of East Feliciana Parish. One representative is elected from each single-member district for a four-year term, and the constitution limits legislators to three consecutive terms in the same house.
